MAURO received his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, in Political Science, from York University in 1995. While attending there, he received a full scholarship in both the 1st and 2nd years of his undergraduate studies. He also graduated on the Sessional Academic Achievement List. Mauro received his Law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in February 2002.
During law school, Mauro also worked as duty counsel in the Community Legal Assistance Program and for the Ministry of the Attorney General as a prosecutor.
Mauro has acted for insurers in the defence of personal injury, accident benefit, property/casualty and coverage disputes, including priority, loss transfer and subrogation matters. He is a frequent attendee at FSCO for mediations and arbitrations.
Mauro is a member, in good standing, of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Defence Research Institute and Canadian Defence Lawyers.
Mauro's personal interests include all sports, fine wine, food, travel and art. He is also an avid follower of Formula 1 auto racing. |
