Caroline's primary practice areas include accident benefits litigation and arbitrations and bodily injury litigation. She also has experience with priority and loss transfer disputes. Caroline has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Caroline has a keen interest in risk mitigation, control and management. She holds the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, certified through the Global Risk Management Institute.
Caroline received her Master of Arts degree and her law degree from the University of Toronto. After law school, Caroline was awarded a human rights Fellowship, which provided her the opportunity to represent indigent clients facing the death penalty in Texas. She subsequently worked for a management consultancy in Italy and a litigation funding firm in Australia. Caroline circled the globe back to Canada and was called to the Ontario bar in 2009. She practiced with a prominent Toronto plaintiff personal injury firm for several years, before moving to Waterloo in 2011 to practice in insurance defence and plaintiff personal injury. Caroline joined Samis + Company in 2016.
